Job Description
The Headmistress is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and administration of the school from grade Pre-primary to 5th. She will ensure the institution provides a high-quality education, fosters a nurturing and disciplined environment, and promotes the all-round development of students. The role requires strong leadership, educational expertise, and excellent communication skills.
### **Key Responsibilities:**
#### **1. Academic Leadership:**
– Develop and implement the school’s academic curriculum in alignment with educational standards and policies.
– Oversee lesson planning, teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies.
– Ensure the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning.
– Introduce innovative teaching practices and educational programs.
#### **2. School Administration & Operations:**
– Oversee daily school operations, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
– Develop and enforce school policies, procedures, and discipline guidelines.
– Manage admissions, student enrollment, and parent engagement.
– Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
#### **3. Staff Management & Development:**
– Recruit, train, and evaluate teachers and support staff.
– Conduct performance appraisals and provide professional development opportunities.
– Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff.
– Address staff concerns and grievances effectively.
#### **4. Student Development & Welfare:**
– Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for students.
– Implement programs for student character development, discipline, and well-being.
– Monitor students’ academic progress and provide guidance as needed.
– Organize extracurricular activities, events, and leadership programs.
#### **5. Parent & Community Engagement:**
– Build strong relationships with parents and stakeholders.
– Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and school activities.
– Promote the school’s reputation within the community and participate in outreach programs.
#### **6. Financial & Resource Management:**
– Manage the school’s budget and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
– Oversee maintenance and infrastructure development of the school.
– Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers as needed.
### **Qualifications & Experience:**
– Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
– A minimum of 12 years of experience in teaching and school administration.
– Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
– Knowledge of modern teaching practices and educational technologies.
– Ability to handle conflict resolution and crisis management effectively.
– Passion for education and student development.
### **Preferred Skills:**
– Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
– Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
– Proficiency in using educational software and management systems.
– Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive school culture.
